Exclamation Missing Equipment in the Sales Order

The project has an equipment item (Cresfiber) however when generating the sales order the equipment is not available for selection, even completely unfiltered.

The MMPD data look correct, the same as items which do appear.

Please advise on the quickest way to rectify this and generate the correct sale order.

Thanks

Default Missing Item in Sales Orders

RJBM,
Generally, the only reason why an item in a project does not appear in the Sales Order Add Equipment list is if the item has already been added to another Sales Order. If this is not the case, confirm that you are attempting to create the new sales order against the correct project. The currently selected project information is displayed in the grey banner across the top of the display in SI5.5.

Please let me know if this solves the problem.

Corey;

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately this doesn't help.

There is no pre-exisiting instance of a sales order having the database item.

The products were only recently added.

Is there any additional assistance you may be able to offer?

RJBM,
I have tried to reproduce this problem on my own install of SI5.5 with out any success. In order to make sure I fully understand the issue, please confirm the following
1. Added an equipment item to your product database. Data was sync'd or not sync'd? (actually it doesnt matter either way). What category did you place the item under?
2. Your project was checked out and the equipment item added.
3. Project was saved and checked in.
4. You went to the orders and accounting tab and attempted to create a new sales order for the project.
5. In the add equipment dialog the newly added product does not appear.

If this is correct, I can find no reason why the equipment does not show up as available to be added to your sales order. We can help troublshoot this further by importing your project into one of our test machines. If you like you can send an email to support. Attach the dtl file of the project to the email and include a link to this forum post. I am happy to have a member of the team try and solve your problem.

Thank you and I apologize for the inconvenience,
Corey

Thanks Corey;

It seems the project had associated the products to a sales order, but the order was not available.

Copying the project as a new project resolved the problem.

Sorry to open this thread, seemed more sense than duplicating....

I am starting to use Sales Orders more and more. However, now little concerned that I noticed that some products were unavailable in a particular Sales Order despite them being in the project. They're definitely not been added to other Sales Orders and were definitely there from inception.

The products happen to be fire hoods and are categorised as Accessories.

I am now concerned as to what else may be missing.

You might want to make sure those items exist in your database on the server (in case they were added to the project only and didn't ever get sync'ed to the server)

This is the first thing that comes to mind, hopefully it helps out!

Ryan

I had renamed the product in Master database, so that explains it.

Thanks

John
