Default Adding Product Image

Hello Folks,

I am new to Dtools and I was trying to add a new product to a project. In the section that is supposed to allow you to add an image, both the add and delete link are greyed out. Can someone tell me how to add an image to a new product that I have just created. Thanks

Sounds like you don't have the rights to add or edit products. Check the rights management in SI Server for your login.

Using the MMPD you can Add or Remove product images, look at page 72 of the Users Guide

SI5 User Guides

You can only add images to products which are listed in your catalog from within Text, Visio or AutoCAD.
If you open a product in Text, Viso or AutoCAD that is not part of your catalog (MMPD) then the image options are disabled since images are always stored with the catalog and not with the project data.
Note: Text, Visio and AutoCAD will match products in project to catalog on the Manufacturer, Model and Category fields.
If you are adding a new product to a project the new product will not be part of the catalog and therefore you cannot images to that product. You can always associate images in MMPD and they will automatically link into the projects as Steve says.
