Default Can anyone help me with "Misc. Parts"?

Hello -

I am a new user of SI-5, and am having difficulty with misc. parts. I have set up the company parameters where everything parts and labor related are "zeros", yet I still have "Misc Parts" of 1% in the installed price of an item. Is this something that can be set in MMPD? I thought I checked all the right boxes......
(I also miss the "Export to Word" part of SI-4's reporting - anyone have a good workaround?)

Thanks in advance -

There are two ways that a Misc. Parts % can be added to a project. One way is to apply the percentage to every product in a project. The second way is to apply the percentage to every product in a particular Phase. Most likely, you have cleared your Misc. Parts % field for all products, but still have a percentage entered based on Phase. To check your default settings open Navigator->Setup tab->Application Project Settings tab. Scroll down to Phases and check to see if there is a value in the Phase Specific Adjustments section (see screenshot). To check settings for a particular project, open project and select D-Tools->Options (see screenshot).

SI 5 reports can be exported in RTF (Rich Text Format) and that can be opened in Word. In SI 4, we used a Crystal Reports viewer and that export was built into that viewer. In SI 5 we use Active Reports which does not have a Word option. If you wish to still run your SI 4 reports, they are still available to you as long as SI 4 and SI 5 are installed on the same machine. To access them, open a project and then select D-Tools->Reports. When the DTools Reports window opens and select File->Legacy Reporting System.
