So I just started noticing this and it is driving me crazy.

Manufacturers name is AMX, APC, DirecTV, HP, etc. for example. Names are correct under MMPD - Administration - Manufacturer. Under MMPD - Administration - Formatting, Manufacturer is listed as Title Case and manufacturer names are in the Exception list.

Go to the Product Grid and the names show up as Amx, Apc, Hp, Directv. Adding a product to a project comes back the same way. I somehow managed to correct it (can't remember how), but the next time I open MMPD, they have all changed back to Amx, Apc, etc.

I tried changing MMPD - Administration - Formatting - Manufacturer to (none) and hitting 'Apply' but it always reverts back to Title Case the next time I open MMPD.

What do I need to do to have the manufacturer names show correctly? This wasn't always a problem.

Make sure that your case formatting is set to "(None)" for Manufacturer as you says you have done. This should be done first and "Apply" clicked.

Now go to MMPD - Administration - Manufacturer and change any manufacturer name - it should be exactly as you type (case exactly as you typed it).

It is important to make sure that Case Style is none for manufacturer first (make sure to apply case change) and then change manufacturer names.

That actually didn't work for whatever reason but I got it fixed.

I ended up talking to Dax. We changed all formatting options to none and then I was able to make my changes and it stuck.

Not sure why it wasn't working before with the exception table entries, but this is actually better. I don't really like software making formatting decisions for me anyway.
