We are new to D-Tools and still trying to get our packages set up. Here is our current issue that we can't seem to figure out (FYI we are using QB integration).

Our jobs vary is size from 1500ft to 8000ft, so we need to be able to quickly and easily set prewire pricing per drop based on time and wire consumption changes. In other words, we need to be able to have packages that insert the wire, labor, connectors, etc into a job based on constants for that job.

We tried creating a package but then the wire length does not automatically adjust based on the constant for that job (although the labor does).

And we thought about making the package by adding accessories to the wire, but then if we have a drop that is 1c5 + 1RG6 we have to put it on the proposal as two items.

Ideas?

You are attempting to do more than one thing in the "D-Tools" world. First you want to create custom wire line items with the correct parts in it to make a bundled cable, then you want to create custom plates for that wire trim out, then you want to create a package to bundle everything up. It is quite a lengthy thing. It will take me about 30 minutes to talk you through it.
