Default Should Grid All Direct Data Entry?

It allows me to type or make a selection in many fields (columns), but evidently it's all for show and there is no way to save such changes? Because they disappear as soon as you move to the next row.

Bump. The word all in the title should be allow. Isn't the MMPD product data grid supposed to allow typing directly into a cell (in the grid view) without having to open the component?

David,

The changes in the Product Grid do not save if you click on a different row after typing the changes. If you Press TAB OR ENTER the changes get applied to the database correctly.

This has been logged as Bug 5857 and will be fixed in the next service pack. Sorry for the inconvenience.

David,

This issue is as old as 5.0 and using tab or enter do not guarantee that the entry will be saved.

We have seen the data entered on one-line jump up to another line in the grid when using tab or enter, the data is saved right, but does not appear to be as the grid seemingly cannot keep up when a good deal of data is displayed.

We have also seen the phase and unit labor hours columns swap data in whole when they are directly adjacent one another and therefore avoid having these two columns open at the same time when editing phase assignments and unit labor hours during engineered database construction.

It is aggrivating, but not as tragic as it appears and is manageable.

Best-
