Default Does MMPD have any method of archiving?

I wonder if there is a method to archive information in the MMPD? Any type of a solution is worth hearing.

Set the item as discontinued. You can open that column in the Product Grid and do mass update to set products to discontinued. they remain in the database, but not available for 'inadvertent' use in projects
