Visualization update
When doing a LanSync, are the visualization settings supposed to update as well? doesn't seem to be working for me.

As far as I know, all data settings should sync. This may be a bug. I cannot confirm on my end yet. Have you checked the conflict resolution area after syncing?

Where are you modifying the Visualization data on the items?
From MMPD, the PDM, CSV file, etc.?
Once modified, I assume you go to MMPD > Admin > LanSync > Synchronize Now.
Then when you ask another user to Sync they don't see the changes in Visualization data?

i've edited the visualization in one instance through an sql query to my master table and another instance through MMPD.
your assumptions are correct:
-MMPD > Admin > LanSync > Synchronize Now
-Second User does not get changes on Sync

when you say "my master table" I assume you mean your local mastertable.
So you are attempting the same change using two different methods but neither of these appear to sync?
I created a test product and did some tweaking. I'll see if I get similar results.

Correct, my local master table is updated, the changes work on my local machine. I do a sync to the server (i'm the administator). when another user syncs their local master table does not reflect the visualization change (although it does reflect other changes). I'm using autoCad (not that it should matter). the second user has a copy of the referenced dwg in their visualizations/block folder. i can set the new visualization manually on their machine. it just doesn't update through lansync.

My guess is this is was somehow overlooked. I wonder if you perform the Copy Up To Server and a then the client performs a Copy Down To Local that future syncs may function...

ok, i just verified that a sync does not actually transfer the visualization settings for products up to (or down from) the database. the only way to update that info is a copy up and copy down. I'm wondering: is there any other fields that aren't actually included in the sync?
This seems like a bug because the progress bar when i perform the sync shows that the products have changed and they are transferring between the server. but the product's visualizations aren't actually sync'd.
what would also be nice is if visualization files (like my autoCad dwgs) were copied up and copied down on sync as well. individual project files are transferred to and from the server, why not program files like visualizations?

I agree on all points. If I modify data, why is some data considered "Sync" worthy while other data is not? Guessing this has simply been left out to improve performance and/or stability. I would vote for adding this in.
Also, regarding viz files, I know this functionality is intended but not implemented.
We are considering using SVN to sync these files without regard for what D-Tools offers. We currently use SVN to keep our programming data in sync across multiple users. I just haven't had the time to try it yet.
