Default Unit Cost - inclusive or exclusive of tax?

I just wanted to confirm this, is Unit Cost suppose to be inclusive or exclusive of tax?

Will be looking closer at the profit margins etc, so just wanted this confirmed.

Default Tax included...

I've actually been wondering the same thing.

It seems like you can alter D-tools preferences to include tax in each individual item and set the rate, but when I run the "proposal", it doesn't adjust the amount charged for the individual item.

We actually charge "use tax" to the customer, but it's an internally reported thing (state laws applied, etc) and we don't want to have "sales tax" shown or charged to the customer.

I was wondering if we have to adjust our own margins to reflect the tax for it not to show up as sales tax, but we still have it charged. Unfortunately, that begs the question of how we track Use Tax, since it is a separate entity legally.

Can you create an added category for use tax in addition to the sales tax?
