Unable to update unit cost - D-Tools Forum

I'm trying to setup my products in 5.1 and I am unable to update the unit cost. When I click on unit cost it does not let me change it. This happens in both Product Explorer and Product Grid. It lets me change Margin, Markup and Unit Price but not Unit Cost. I am logged in as an administrator. I have not been able to find any permissions related parameter that might prevent me from doing this. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this behavior? Thanks.

Turned out to be a problem with the Permissions in the LanSync Admin Console. Thanks to Michael P at dtools for pointing this out.

Dean, I think I have the same problem. Can you explain in more detail how this was resolved? I checked the permission in LANSync but it appears all permissions are allowed for both 'Everyone' and 'Administrators'. There is a Permissions list and Group Permissions... all are under Group Permissions.

Currently I have to add the product in MMPD and then go to the project and adjust the price and update the master table there

Check your Group permissions in the LANSync Admin Console to make sure you didn't add the four restrictions that are in the list. Bottom of page 36 in the SI 5 Installation and Administration Guide.

Ahh thank you, I missed that some "permissions" are actually restrictions.
