Default Packaged Items

Ok, I am wondering, I have created a package for each trimout jack we do (i.e. multi-media plate, Data plate, etc.). I have just the parts; insert, surround, modules, etc. but no wire. I would like to just put a total price to this package that would include the labor price instead of itemizing the price through each item adding the labor onto each piece. How do I print the package as the description without listing each item in the package on the client reports just the package name and package description?

I hope I am making sense because I have to get this done oh, say, by Fri afternoon.

Thanks for anyone that can help!!

I have not installed SI5 yet but in version 4 within reports, go to the detail tab then choose to "Hide All Package Detail" and check "Keep Packages Together?".

I don't see a detail tab in SI5, or I don't know where to look for it. Sounds like that is what I am looking for. (still looking, if anyone knows where this option is on SI5)

Information about packages is in the SI 5 User's Guide beginning on page 415. The package price is the sum of prices for the individual products within the package. If you wish to modify the price of the package, type in the value you want for the package in the "Package Price" field. The discount will be calculated for you. Labor for a package is also calculated as the sum of the labor for the individual products within the package unless you check the "Ignore labor calculations..." option. The option for reporting that you are looking for is called "Summarize in client reports" and it it is right by the "Ignore labore calculations..." option.

I have them both checked but it is still showing in my reports itemized. (I upgraded from SI4 and didn't get a new user guide to SI5)

What report are you running?

We did not print the User's Guide for SI 5 but all of the documentation is available to you either through the SI 5 application or online here in the Forum. Here is the link to all of the docs: SI 5 Documentation To access the UG through the Navigator select Help->Contents/Index/Search.
