Default Sharing Product Info/Images

I have a text version of SI5 and I spend lots of time downloading new products that are not in the D-tools database. I customize my product info add images, specs, etc. How can I send the product files to a friend who doesnt have as much time to find these and download them, but has the SI5? Any details on step by step would be much appreciated.

Thanks

To export data from your database:

1. Open MMPD and click the Product Grid tab.
2. Use the tabs to filter to the products you wish to export.
3. Click the Export to Excel button.

They would then use the Import tab in MMPD to import the spreadsheet you send.

Note: your product images are not included in this export. You would need to send them the images that you downloaded seperately and they would have to assign an image to each product once imported.

You can't export/import packages in SI5. Packages don't really exist as "objects", for lack of a better word, in our software. They are "shells" with pointers to individual products in the database. All package manipulation must be done on the Product Explorer tab within the MMPD interface or within a project.

I have two separate databases (two sets of licenses that reside at separate location) which got evolved over time and I would like to combine them. Both databases include Products and packages.

What is the workaround? I don't mind to do some manual work of moving or merging files.

I know there should be a way to copy the entire database by replacing files.

Thanks

Dear SenoS,
Any ideas how to "copy" packages from one database to another?
Thanks
