Default Crestron - Label / Signal / Terminal

Just a question on the labeling of the QM and Net ports on the back of many Crestron devices, specifically the QuickMedia line.

I'm not a Crestron guy, but I have a Crestron project that will most likely be handed to me and I'm building my database and recreating the project so I have a handle on how the designer planned it.

How do you guys handle the Label & signal terms of these ins/outs?

Tahkns

There is obviously no Right or Wrong way, but I believe most people think of the flow of control from the processor (out) to the devices being controlled (in).

Yes.. thank you...
I guess what I was meaning is do you label them QM, Cnet Crestnet, etc...
What is the signal: Data, control, cnet, video?

As I mentioned, I'm new to using crestron, and after spending a few hours going over the plans that were designed, I have an solid understanding on how things are going together, but not sure what signals are going down the RJ45 port and what is going down the terminal block.

Okay, I have some knowledge of this, but its really the first time I am working with this devices and would like to standardize the labeling. I managed to download a bunch of the equipment I needed, but still needed to create more items myself.

CresNet-Control-Phoenix would probably be how i would label a CresNet phoenix connector.

RS232-Control-DB9 would be a RS232 connector.

Ethernet-Control-RJ45 might be another one.

does that help?
