Pricing can be updated in either database.
It is best to update pricing in one database and sync to the other as a standard process.
Items only get to quickbooks from D-Tools when they are pushed over through a project sales order, so it is possible that not all itmes in your D-Tools database will be in your quickbooks database.
Therefore, updating in quickbooks and syncing to D-Tools will not touch every product needing updateed pricing, however it is a very practical way to update pricing since it is usually the back office staff that handles payables who is alerted to pricing updates by way of new pricing on invoices.
Bottom line is that a clear process for maintaining both databases needs to be established for your company based on how you handle back office adminstratice functions and the skill sets of those staff.
Do this along with avoiding things like the Misc Parts Percentage Multiplier in projects and you'll be stylin'
