Shawn,

Do not click Browse. Instead type full path to QBW in textbox and it will work. If you use Browse Vista sees the file is open in Quickbooks and does not return a file name to the Quicklinks app. If you just type the file name (full path) in text box it works per my testing.

Let me know if that works for you as well.

Try typing in the full filename instead of using Browse... to find the QBW file. See Naresh's posting below:

Vista has some additional issues with the QuickBooks SDK.

In addition to that Browse issue make sure to check these as well --

a) Make sure UAC is ON – Click Vista Control Panel -> User Accounts and check.
b) Do not start QuickBooks or SI with “Run as Administrator”

If error persists let me know the error message and a screen shot of that error message. Also let me know which folder your QBW file is located.

NareshN - I switched back to UAC ON - and 75% of my apps failed to run (including D-Tools) - after I switched back to UAC OFF - all was fixed and working fine again, except the Quicklink. I'm guessing if applications were installed with UAC off - they don't work when you turn it on. You guys are going to have to find a way to work around this - as a TON of applications out there are (at least for now) requiring users to turn UAC off in order for them to run!

Yeah I turned that garbage off because it was annoying. I'd hate to have to turn it on every time I need to transfer.

This is official word from Intuit --

You must have UAC ON to run QuickLinks in Vista. This is part of Intuit SDK.
