There is a bug in the code which Sales Order numbers to products incorrectly. This has been fixed in the SP2 release and you should no longer get products assigned to a wrong sales order.

However the BizMgr database can still contain some product records assigned to a incorrect sales order (for sales orders created prior to SP2). We are working on a utility to clean up the BizMgr server database and that should fix this problem. This utility will be released soon and once you run that any products not on a sales order can be assigned to one.

Default Details

I have run across the issue before and after the SP2 install. I had an existing sales order that was not transferring all items over before I did the upgrade. So I deleted the sales order. Did the upgrade. Then created the sales order again.

The sales order comes out complete and matches the project information perfectly!

However, as soon as I go to create an estimate in QuickLinks from that sales order, things get a little messy. All of a sudden, D-Tools has decided to change the quantities of some of the items.

See the two attachments to see the differences between the two files. Within the SO, we have quantities of 4, 8, and 8 of the outlined items. Then in QL, the item quantities get changed to 3, 4, and 8 respectively. These are just the obvious ones. Once I manually make the changes in Quickbooks for these items, there is still a difference of about $500 to figure out.

So, Naresh and whoever else that is working on this - I hope you are able to fix this bug! I am happy to send over any files you may need to do this.

Thanks,
Heather

Default Research Project Complete

Ok, so for those curious minds out there this is what I found:

Miscellaneous Parts in the sales order was a total of $89.82.
But in the Estimate from QL, Misc. Parts was listed as Qty: 1, Cost 0; Markup 1; Total $1.00;

Also, the prices of the three items mentioned in previous post were altered somehow in QL, so they didn't reflect the correct price.

All total, there was $753.67 difference between the two (sales order and estimate from QuickLinks).

Of that amount, $371.52 was in missing labor, the rest was parts and the sales tax associated with those parts.

it seems to take more time to get the invoice right than it takes to design the entire project. I sure hope this is fixed soon...it is very frustrating!

Mine still don't match neither. I will try to delete the sales order and re enter again.

Maybe I am missing something in the process but it seems pretty straight forward.....Select the product to be billed and press go.

The process is very simple and has not changed from SI4, only the results have changed.

4 worked (and still does), 5 does not.

Took us 90 minutes to invoice a $5600 project today!

Heather can you zip and attach your problem DTL for me to test.

I assume your are using BizMgr. Did you copy this project or import this project ot start afresh? The bug we fixed mostly has to do with copied or imported projects.

Thanks and we will get to the bottom of this one.

Thanks Naresh.
Yes, I am using BizMgr. The project was created in 4 originally. I sent you a pm with a request for your email address so I can send you the file.

Thanks!
