Default Peachtree vs. Quickbooks

Does anyone have experience with both Quickbooks and Peachtree?

Can you make any recommendations as to why to use one over the other?

I cannot give you any specifics, but Quickbooks is used by almost all of our clients and will be the primary accounting system we support.

Based on the information in the links below, it appears that the more expensive versions of Peachtree support more sophisticated inventory functions than QB. However there are a lot of warehouse management plugins to QB.

Reed,

Does this statement hint that you will not be supporting Peachtree going forward?

David,

Our plans are to integrate the application more closely with QuickBooks going forward, so this is a much better choice in my opinion.

Peachtree support will not disappear, but it is now being developed by a third party - one of our Certified Partners, Bill Battaglia at designecentral, so we have less control over when/how and what this interface will do.

Bill can be reached at bill@designecentral.com if you want to discuss the Peachtree interface with him.

Best regards,
