I'm having problems with CAD layers and blocks. I want to be able to seperate my "wire & cable" layer to high voltage wiring and low voltage wiring. I also want to be able to turn each layer off so only one of the two is visible. I can reassign the wire block to a new layer but it doesn't turn on/off with the layer. Any ideas?
The layer is based upon the Category. I suggest you make two categories in MMPD of type Wire (Make sure the category type is Wire). One can be "High Voltage Wire" and one can be "Low Voltage Wire". Assign products to the correct categories in MMPD and use in AutoCAD projects. The products will be on different layers.
In SI5.5 there is no more layer based upon the category. Now user determine the layer name, and have control on any type of block, Dynamic block, regular block, D-Tools block and none D-Tools block.
