Default File Manager Service Error

I just switched from comcast to verizon fios and recieved a new router.
D-tools works fine on the sever machine, but when I use my laptop, I get a "File Manager Service Error" Server file\\ "file name".dtl not found. Is this because of the new router?

Soundboy,

Yes the new router is causing that. From the client machine, trying pinging the server and also do a trace route to see what comes up. You should have similar IP addresses

Example

Server: 192.168.1.xxx
Client: 192.168.1.xxx

If that seems to be okay, go into the server and browse to C:\DTools\SI5\Server\Projects and find ClientConfiguration.xml file. Open it with Notepad and make sure that path or server name appear correct.

Ok, Now that I've talked to D-tool tech support, and Verizon, who supplied the router, I still cannot use my d-tools because each company is saying its not their issue because its a network problem. That helps a lot!
