Cannot conect to the LANSync Server Database - D-Tools Forum

I've rebuilt our dedicated server hosting D-Tools. Everything seems to be back in place and in order EXCEPT when in MMPD I get the following error when attempting to connect to the database;

[I]"Cannot open database "DToolsProducts50" requested by the login. The login failed."[/I]

We were just really getting started with D-Tools and I performed a database back up before uninstalling. I tried to do a database restore in the LANSync Admin Console which didn't work, but i copied the backed up databse files to their respective folder locations. I've also made sure that permissions and security access is correct.

What have i missed?

Jack,

You need to download SQL Server Management Studio Express - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en. Go to that page and scroll down to the bottom. Select the SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi and download it.

After you download it, run the installer. Then launch the app. You should see this window, click connect.

Download the attached Word .doc and start on Page 9 (Fixing the login for the databases). Do those steps for the DToolsProducts50 DB and any other that requires it. That should do it!
