Jeff -
There is not a actual 64 bit version of D-Tools - the current installer is just setup to install on a 64 bit or 32 bit operating system, however it is still a 32 bit application.
If you need the links to the install files send me an email and I will send them to you.

Hello Dave,
are you able to pm me the link to the 64 bit insaller?
Same story as Jeff, old machine died and replaced with 64bit. Office 32 bit and AutoCAD 32 bit installs happened without so much as a hiccup, then I tried D-tools...........(5.5)

Danijel - I just replied to your email with some possible solutions. As I said in the email if you are still having issues submit a support ticket here Submit an Issue

Thankyou David, I cleaned out my new PC and did a fresh install of everything!
Installing the software again, but this time using the SI5.5 link you gave worked a treat.
lots of things happened that didn't the first time I tried eg: installing the SQL server2005, and going through the process of setting it up. getting the registration key splash screen for D-Tools, Its all running smoothly!
Fixing 1 problem created another and now I have a backed up database (from old PC/Server) that won't restore on this new one because its not the database/server that the backup was created in! I'll keep plodding along with it, notas stressed now that I have come this far.......

Glad to help.
Make sure that you go to the D-Tools folder (start button, all programs, D-Tools) and click the "Check for Updates" to make sure that you have the latest version.

Finally! for everyone reading this, I had to use the trial validation key so I could open the new install, and then re-validated my old server with my paid up key so I could open it on the old PC. I couldn't get the migrated data to show on the new machine until I did the following:
in the client application, click Tools>Manage product data. then View>Administration>database
I backed up the local product database to a USB stick (all 16Mb) and then navigated to the same window on the new PC. this time I restored local product database from the USB stick and viola! My product data library fully restored, My project files all showed up! my reports all there but they look different (at this point I don't really care about that as long as they work) I know I have lots more to do, and heaps more to learn about SQL dtabases, but I now have a smile on my face that's been missing for a few days!
