We had all kinds of problems trying to get D-Tools to work via Parallels. Gave up and switched to Fusion. Have had no problems going on three years now...

I don't have Parallels either but also works fine for me on either the Boot Camp of Fusion side of things.

Parallels has worked great for me so far - about a year. Haven't upgraded Parallels yet to their latest version. Now - that being said we are looking at updating our server within the next month or so. Guess that I might run in to a speed bump... Great!

Not heard of Fusion before. I will give it a shot. Thanks!

I had issues getting D-Tools to work on my MAC Pro at home using Parallels. I kept getting an invalid computer name error. I could log into D-Tools and I could see my project list but could not open projects. Had to resort to getting boot camp setup. Would love it if it would run in Parallels.

We have many users that are using Parallels with no issues. Are you getting an error when you try to open projects? What is the exact error/message you receive? One common issue that can occur in a Parallels environment is that the path to your "local" project folder (the path under the Setup tab) gets translated to a UNC path, e.g. - \\machinename\Home\Documents... This can cause issues when attempting to check out a project. Fix is to create a folder on your machine that when mapped under our Setup tab displays without the UNC format, e.g. - C:\D-Tools SI5 Projects.

Seth - that's exactly what my issue was initially when I first fired up dtools on my mac - and once you guided me through that minor tweak it's been smooth sailing for me. Is there anything that the Seth does not know?!?!?
