Default Hyper V or VMware

Is System Integrator server supported and\or functions in a virtual environment? I'm specifically working with MS HyperV which is been very stable for our other applications.

Barb:

Virtual environments are not currently supported. Can you make it work? sure, but you will encounter issues from time that we may not be able to help you with because of the nature it is being used in.

Please take a look at our requirements for both Software - Software Requirements - D-Tools Documentation Wiki and Hardware - Recommended Hardware Requirements - D-Tools Documentation Wiki

Not to be used in a Virtual Environment.

Thank you much for your answer.. we have no problem with the minimums but I could not find anything definitive on virtual environments.

Is there any eta on perhaps the approval that environment ? Either VM or HyperV.. ?? IT environments are rapidly evolving to gain cost efficiencies and virtual environments seem to be at the top of IT want lists.

If Windows Terminal Server is virtual enough, We've been running D-tools successfully on TS (windows 2007 server) for 8 months. I believe that for the time being, 40-50% of all our drawings are made through the TS solution.

I have been running D-Tools on my Mac under VMWare, Parallels and Bootcamp with any major hassles. If you using either Virtual machine, you will need to make sure that all your settings are correct so that it uses the correct hardware resources.

I also have D-Tools on a Windows 7 desktop so that I can check to if everything works corerctly.
