Default New install

I need to do a complete reinstall of windows, (see hardware failure post here). I have valid install discs for XP home, pro and MCE. Is vista worth my time from a strictly d-tools standpoint. Any of the bells and whistles it would provide are unimportant, this would be a server first, backup work station second.

The PC setup I have as far as hardware is more than adequate as far as XP or Vista goes so that is not an issue.

Feedback appreciated.

Tom

From someone who is in tech support, my personal recommendation would be to use Windows XP Pro if you can. MCE lacks VPN support among other things.
