Default Upgrading from SI 4.6

We're going to be upgrading soon now that everything has sort of stabilized. I have slowly but surely been patching up our 4.6 Master Table and have put a bit of work into it, but there is still a TON of stuff that needs to be fixed.

I know that when you do the SI 5 installation you can either start from a fresh DB, or import your existing SI 4 DB. I would like to start with a fresh DB and then add only the products we use the RIGHT way as needed, but I have spent alot of time in SI4 already. Is there a way to import only a portion of the SI 4 database, or chose on a manufacturer by manufacturer basis? I'm thinking if that's not possible I could make a backup copy of the SI4 database, delete everything that I don't want transferred over to SI5, import to SI5, and then overwrite the cleaned SI4 database with the copy of the backup SI4 database?

And when importing to SI5 is there anything to look out for? Do images transfer over? What about all my custom packages? What about some of the products that I've made custom stencils for? Will I have to make new stencils or copy the stencils to SI 5 and relink all of them?
