Auto Increment
This is a cool and potentially huge time saving feature if I could get it to work. Let's say I want to add 32 inputs. If I make the first input 1 and tell it to fill the rest in it makes the rest 1-2, 1-3 etc. Is there a way to just start at 1 and increment to 32?
Thanks

David,
Enter a quantity of more than 1. Any text you enter in the label will auto increment for the quantity you enter. For example your label is "XXX" and Quantity is 3 and you check "Auto Increment". Then you will get "XXX 1", "XXX 2" and "XXX 3". Let me know if any you have any problems.

David, just leave off any numbers in your default I/O list.

???. If you are saying don't put in a number I tried that, I also tried starting with the number 0. Neither worked. Am I missing something?

Thank Naresh, I try to stay away from using text unless it is necessary. On a Matrix switcher for instance I just prefer to see 1 - 64 for the inputs, not "input 1" input 2" etc.

Is the "Label" in your saved configurations free of numbers? For example, if you want to add 4 HDMI inputs, your saved configuration label should be "HDMI" not HDMI 1." When I add it to inputs, it numbers correctly.

David,
Check the image.
In Label type any number - here I typed "1 -" (no quotes). Quantity is 32 and Auto Increment is checked. This worked for me.

Hi Naresh, yes that works but you still end up with 1 -1, 1 - 2, 1 - 3 and so on up to 1 - 32. I just wanted to be able to have 1, 2, 3, etc. Not the end of the world obviously but I'd like it to just be able to increment numerically using single and double digits.

David,
OK - as of now what you are saying cannot be done. You must type some text in the label box.

SP2 allows you to auto increment labels without typing a label now.
