Default Canadian Tax System?

I’m trying to get a handle on Canadian tax policy. Is there a simple, yeah right, document that outlines the rules? If so, I promise to send the Stanley Cup back to its rightful owner.

I know this is not the quick answer you are probably searching for, but this is a very detailed document of how the Canadian Tax system works..
