With the new brother printer I want to customize some of the information. Example, On the wire warp I would like to include what input or output the wire is to go to. I’ve been looking at the P-Touch program, but being stupid I can’t get it. Any help would be great.

Luckily the moon was full and I had this uncontrollable urge to figure out Brother Labels.

I think you are stuck with the fields you are provided. D-Tools should offer more fields as options and let you pick the ones you want to show.

Someone else had asked about increasing print size on the Brother Labels, so here goes.

If you go to the C:\Program Files\D-Tools\Si 4 folder and View by Details and sort by Type you will find a group of P-touch Layout files. I chose “Flag Label (3 in.).lbl” to modify.

1) Double click on the .lbl file mentioned above. The standard P-touch Editor should appear with the label visible.
2) I found it helpful to magnify the view to 200%. Even with a full moon it was hard to read.
3) You will see four text boxes (text1, text2, message1 & message2)
4) To change the font or size, highlight the word “text1” etc. and select the desired font and size for you application.

Looks like you could also put you own logo on the label as well. I guess I will take a look at that in about 28 days.

BTW: I used the "message" to put a date and Job#/Name. This will help the service guys in the future. You enter this when you run your report. It show up in the "message" field.
