Default Components Linked To Shape

I'd like to assign newly added components to a shape. In the Database I have set it up to use the right shape. This uses the right shape if I drag in the component from the Project Data Matrix.

I'd also like to be able to drag in that shape from the Stencil Tree and have it ask me what component I'd like to add. I can set it up so it has only one component assigned to it but not a list of several. Each time I try to update a shape by choosing 'Link to DTools' it only has the last one. How do I have multiple components attached to this one shape when dragging the shape in from the stencil tree?

Thanks.

I think the best way to answer this question is through interpretive dance. Or, I could make a video.

Unfortunatly I did not were my tights to work today so it looks like a video is the only choice today.

Thankyou BlakeV, bit disappointed the video wasn't a dance but was helpful from a work perspective.

Is it possible to have more than just the one component highlighted when dragging in that shape (said you could in video-but how, it only shows the last one for me)? and from multiple Manufacturers?

No, it will only highlight the last one you used in the list and only show those from the same manufacturer.
That is why I created the shape for Denon, so, repeat the process for other manufacturers.

Thanks.

By changing the custom properties of the shape (changing fields to blank) I discovered you can allow the choice from any manufacturer with in a category or even any category...not a list of specific components though... You still need to select category and manufacturer. Takes away some of the features advantage but I need that flexibility.

What would be handy is if in custom properties you could have multiple fields of Manufacturer with different values, so that when that shape is dragged into the project you have only a select few Manufacturers. This would be more useful if you applied the same theory to the Model... so it brings up a selection of a specified components.

To clarify, you have a shape for a Receiver but when you drag that in to your project you only want both Denon and Sony as options but you dont want all the other compnents with in those manufacturers like CD or DVD players.
