Default Product Images

Does anyone know of a ready source for product images in jpeg or bmp formats to load in the mastertable?

Yes...similar to what you find at Pronto Central for programming. At a minimum, it would be nice to have images in the correct size and format from the manufacturer partners. Beyond that, there is the issue of finish. I had to re-touch pictures of speakers in wood finishes to black yesterday so the client wouldn't get confused...thinking they were getting a premium finish. Having done the work, I would be happy to submit them for other D-toolers to use.

I recommend that you have several generic JPEGS for things like in wall SP, in ceiling SP, and 1 or 2 JPEGS for receivers from each line you carry.
The JPEGS are very cool but don’t waist allot of time looking for the perfect Dentegra 5805 Receiver JPEG. The images are pretty small so will your clients really notice that the JPEG is not exactly like the one in the show room.

BTW-Crutchfield has good images to, um, barrow.

I agree. My challenge is getting some of the images re-formatted to the correct size, finish, etc. However, it becomes a necessity when I'm including images for the rest of a proposal. Again, once I've done the work I'm happy to share. Is it possible to put an image library (ala data xchange) on the d-tools server for the community to "populate"?

If you need to resize the photos, you can use infranview 3.98. Its a free download and really easy to use.

Here is the link:

I don't know if you needed a better way to resize photos, but if you do then I hope this helps.

Not at this time, but it is a good idea and I will pass it around.

Here is a Zip file of all my .jpgs. Each is properly formatted for D-Tools. Also includes my "Image Template" which I use to square off rectangular images so they don't squish.

Sorry about the bad link... work ok for me, cause I have the seceret password. This one should word for every one.

Nice of you to share Jims, but your server requires a user and pass....
