Default Sales TAX

Due to new local laws, I now have to have sales tax percentages shown on any fixed proposal. So where it says SALES TAX - $24,000.00. I need it to show 7.75% Sales Tax - $24,000.00. And also having the number be a variable based on what's in the project information. Any help?

The label is easy to change in Crystal as you know. What are the tax rules that need to be applied?

Tax rate must be specified in the fixed proposal and I was hoping to get it where I requested. If I could have this automated w/o having to use Crystal, I would rather have that. TIA.

The label cannot change without Crystal.

When you say, "having the number be a variable based on what's in the project information", what about Project Info would cause the change (City, ZIP)? What are the different tax rules? Is it just a Rate based on where the Project is installed or something else?

If the rate is consistent for each project, then use the General Settings to set the tax rate for that Job. Then modify the Label on the report to be a function and turns the Rate into Text and shows it as "[Rate]" & " Sales Tax". This would be an easy mod in Crystal. I'm sure one of the D-Tools partners could knock this out in less than an hour. Upload the report you want modified, maybe somone will give you a hand.

I am talking about the assigned Tax Rate in the project properties. I guess w/o using Crystal, I could simply print to PDF and add the tax % manually. Thanks.

Post your Crystal report. Someone may be willing to modify it for you.
