Default Product Length Adjustment

Is there a way to set certain parameters to where when I change the length of a product, the price will adjust accordingly?

I've messed around with the head-end stuff a little bit but this isn't working for me because when I adjust the length by the smallest degree, the price changes but it is too high.

I need the price to be able to adjust a small amount. For example, the product I am trying to create is a wireless shade. The price of said shade adjusts according to how long and wide the shade is. Therefore, I need the price to adjust by a small amount if the length of the shade is increased by 4 inches in length.

I don't know of any D-Tools function that would allow this precise or accurate quoting that you are looking for.

You could set an item up as a "Wire & Cable" Category and set the phase to rough and adjust it that way. But it is only by the foot, and I wouldn't see that being practical.

I get out shades from a local provider, and they give me the quote and I just add it to the project as "Custom Motorized Shade(s)". When I add it to the project, adust the price based on the quote and the hours. Just don't save it to the MMPD.

Jordan, thanks for the helpful info. Yeah, that is how I started to make the product, with the wire and cable/rough-in. But, as you mentioned, it is only by feet and that is too much. I think I'll just have to do the product as you do, as a "Custom Shade" product. Thanks!
