Line item detail doesn't really work for me as it lists the item heading (Prewire/Trim iPod Dock) AS WELL as the accessories (Cat 6 wire/connectors).

I need the following:

1. I need items with accessories that I tell to hide in client reports to show up as ONE line item (Prewire/Trim iPod Dock) with the total price.

2. I need items with accessories that I tell not to hide in client reports to show up as MULTIPLE line items (Leon Speaker, Leon Bracket) with the individual prices.

Again - I didn't think this would be that hard to do. SI3.6 did it very easily. I still think I am mising something simple to do this.

Sorry, we don't have any reports that do exactly what you are asking. We did, however, create reports based off of our stock Proposal reports that simply do not include the accessory pricing with the parent product. You can download from this page, the report zip file is named "Proposal (accessory not included w Parent product).

Hopefully I am not duping an answer in this thread (I skimmed ). Those are called "Definitions" and you can create your own Definitions by right-clicking the name of the report and selecting New->Report Definition. When the form opens name it appropriately and choose your grouping options.

I figured out how to do the "defiinitions" on my own, but hadn't had time to post that yet.

I'm sorry to hear my other issue can't be resolved at this time. I figured since it was easy to do in SI3.6 in would carry over to SI5.5. 3.6 didn't "embed" the accesories in the report. They either showed up (as a separate line item) if I told them to or didn't show at all if I told them not to. *shrug*

I'm sorry to see that the SP3 update did not fix this problem. I never thought SIV3.6 would have ANY features better than the latest and greatest SI would.

I have resorted to dropping in an item (with accessories), then duplicating just the accessories (so they are distinct line items), then deleting the accessories attached to the main item. A little more labor intensive, but it works.

The only down side is that if I need to delete the parent item in a Change Order, I have to remember to delete the appropriate accessories.
