Right. Does anyone know who to reference d-tools fields from the shapesheets, especially the CustomProperty fields?

I get the feeling that d-tools pushes values to a field like the Prop.ComponentID.value by using SETF(GetRef()) hence how the ID on the shape changes when you change it in the product page (when you double click the shape in visio).

Obliviously it would be good to know, whether you can reference it the other way from Visio i.e. entering a value through the shapesheet and it then updates the product data...

The second thing is say i made a new row in the shade data section and called in Prop.CustomProperty4. Can i get d-tools to update that row in the same way it updates manufacturer, model, ID etc?

final question...

is there a list of the d-tools events like:

dTools.Solutions.Si.Event.ProductPage

and is that in the SDK documentation

Hi Carl,

Take a look at this Wiki post on how you can show custom property values on D-Tools shapes. Note: You need 5.5 Sp1 for this.

Also changing data on the shape sheet will NOT change D-Tools data - only changing D-Tools data will change Shape Sheet cells. Matter of fact even if you change the Shape Sheet cells the next you open D-Tools drawing data from D-Tools will overwrite shape sheet cells.

The SDK we have is only relevant to reading data on our server database and not relevent to Visio events.
