Default Integration Process

Hello -

This may be in the wrong forum, but is there a roundabout way of perhaps integrating D-Tools with Microsoft's Outlook Contact Manager ... or a way of doing so?

The only integration that I'm personally aware of (besides SDK, software-development-kit) is the ability to import contacts that exist in Outlook (not sure if this applies to contact manager??)

What I really want to do is the opposite of that --- import my contacts from D-Tools to Outlook.

There is no way to import your contacts from SI to Outlook. SI does not store contact information in a database, it stores contact information in a project file so there is no "global" contact information to pull from. The only global information that SI stores for contacts is a list of names.

How about as far as importing from Outlook to SI? I believe I read somewhere that this was possible -- more directly, is it?

Yes, you can import contact infromation from Outlook into a project. Within a project, select D-Tools->Project Information. On the Project tab there is an [Import] button for the primary contact for the project. On the Contacts tab, click the [New] button. There is an [Import...] button on the form that opens. As of this posting, there is no way to import from Outlook during the 10 New Project Wizard. Development is looking into adding this in a future release.
