Default Adding more phases

I added two more phases in the Setup> Project Phases one called ISF calibrations. When I add this item to a project, the proposal preview shows it as "None Labor" in the Project Summary. How do I get it to show as ISF Calibrations?

Thanks,
Mark

Consider adding this as a Labor item to your database assigned to the Finish Phase.

CATEGORY: LABOR

MFG: YOUR COMPANY NAME

MODEL: ISF CALIBRATION

LABOR TYPE: FIXED? (your choice) Cost/Sell

PHASE: FINISH

I understand your application, but it does not match the intended purpose of Phases.

Thanks Kevin,

I did set it up the way you recommended, but I was looking to show the calibrations as a labor item in the project summary, so I can see finish labor, trim labor, and calibrations? Can it be done this way?

If I want programming labor to show up on a client report as a seperate item down near summary at the bottom I will add it in as a misc cost (d-tools/options/misc costs) then it will list that item seperately near the bottom of the report but it will not show up on the word reports so you have to use the standard dtools report.

Since I like to use my custom word reports I have also made a labor line item for programming. It will show up as a seperate line item in the report but it won't show up the summary at the bottom.

I have done that before, but I was looking for another way to keep all the labor together in the summary total.

Careful of this approach!

Entries in Misc Costs do not flow through to the cost reports!

Yes, keep the configuration I outlined above but change the Phase assignment to your Calibration phase.

Kevin is correct, once you define the Phase you will need a Labor or an Equipment item with Hours assigned to the item. When you add the item to the project you need to assign it to the ISF Phase. In Kevin's example above set PHASE=ISF (or whatever the name you picked).

I have keeped it the same as outlined by Kevin:

CATEGORY: LABOR

MFG: YOUR COMPANY NAME

MODEL: ISF CALIBRATION

LABOR TYPE: FIXED

PHASE: CALIBRATIONS

I think its odd that it shows up as "None Labor" in the summary of the project. Why can't D-tools see it as the new Phase listed?
