Default SI4 - Linking Schematics to the Master Table

I am still learning here, but what is the way, or what is the best way to update the Component I/O when working in Visio so that it will update the master table as well as the current drawing. I know you can right click "refresh" to update a component from the master table, but I'm trying to do the reverse.

Anytime you edit a product and click [Save], you are prompted to update the MaterTable. If you choose [No] when prompted, you can update the master table any time by right-clicking the product and selecting "Update". "Update" is the opposite of "Refresh" in SI 4.

I guess I am missing something then because it's not prompting me. If I double click or right click "View Data" for a product and edit the input/output list, and select OK or Apply I don't get prompted and the master table isn't updated. Instead I have to right click "Configure" make sure the proper item is selected and select "Edit Master" for the master and the drawing to both update. After that point it seems like just selecting it will prompt me to update the master as well.

OK, I see this now but only when right clicking from the data matrix and not when just selecting the shape which is what I was doing.

I finally figured this out, if you have equipment set as OFE it will not ask you to update the master table with any changes. Thanks D-Tools, don't ask me if I want to update the master table anyway or give me a message stating that it's marked as OFE and that the changes will only be made locally, I'd much rather figure things out the hard way

So do you want..
1) SI to always prompt "Do you want to Update the Master Table?" every time a data value is modified? (This was the case in previous versions and users complained)
2) SI to only prompt when OFE items are modified?

#1 conditional

How about an option that asks you if you want to update the Master Table with selections for update/don't update and an optional radio button to "always take this action" so it will never ask again for that specific project. It would also be nice if it didn't ask me if I want to update the Master Table in circumstances which will not affect it whatsoever, like when just changing the display of connections from bottom up to top down.

I find that D-Tools prompts me for things when I don't want it to or care, and doesn't let me know what's going on when I really need to know. Like when editing input/output lists for instance, how can I keep it from asking me if I want it to remember every random label for every freaking input/output? How about having fields that aready in the database highlighted or somehow distinguishable with the option to select an item individually and save it to the list. While we're at it why not make the IO list window expandable with the ability to change the order by dragging/dropping a row rather than arrow up/down, scroll up/down, arrow up/down, scroll some more, etc.
