Default SI4 - Is it possible to "reset" the component ID`s

If you delete for examble the "VID-001" cable in the schematic drawing, and drag in a new one, D-tools generates "VID-002" for the new cable. Is it possible to reset this counter and regenerate the component ID`s when you have finished the drawing??

Regards
Øyvind

Select the items in PDM, Rt-Click > Regenerate Component IDs

It doesn`t work. If I delete "VID-002" and "VID-003" in the project, and replace them with new ones and regenerate the component ID`s, the new cables still appear as "VID-004" and "VID-005"

If you would like to recalculate the Component ID for all products in a project then you can use D-Tools-->Utilities-->Component ID Format. Change the criteria for the format and click the [Recalculate] button. Repeat the process but change the criteria back to the original then click [Recalculate].

Ahh... sneaky. I think in the industry that is called a reach-around.

Wait... no... work-around... my bad!

I head of a change to the new Florida voting system. Is it really true that on the ballot, they will have a selection for "I Choose Not To Vote"? I find this absolutely fabulous! GO FLORIDA!!!! Almost up there with those Canadian fellows. . . another story, another time. . .

The 'Regenerate Component ID' isn't working for me.
If I change the criteria for the format in Project Information -> Component ID -> Component ID Format and the click 'Recalculate' the system will refresh only the first part of the 'label' (for example abbreviation of Type or Category of the wire) but it DOES NOT reset the number of the product.
So, even though the label changes the numbers of the wires are not being recalculated.
Any suggestions please?

For the avoidance of doubt - obviously I'm using SI5 not 4 (as per the thread title)
