Default Quick Reference Guide - HELP!

We would like to provide a one page front and back Quick Reference Guide for new SI users. We could really use you help. Please let us know what you think should be included.

BTW: We are about 60% complete with the SI5 User Guide and it already has over 400 pages (8.5 x 11). This guide could easily reach 700+ pages, so picking out two pages is tough. I would really appreciate your input.

Default Quick Reference

Reed,

What is the predominant size of paper that D-Tool'ers use? I'm guessing 11x17 and larger are the most widely used? How about making the quick reference formatted for 11x17? I believe that is the same size as the shortcut reference doc for Visio as well. I could be wrong. Using 11x17 would recoup the real estate absorbed by the margins of two 8.5x11 sheets. Plus it would put everything on one page without having to flip it over.

Okay, another thought...

What are the most frequent tech support call regarding product use/functionality? I would think the quick user guide would also be used to help reduce tech support calls as well.

Which SI5 product/module does the quick reference guide need to be for or do you intend to have several dedicated quick reference guides? Text? Pro? BizMgr? QuickLinks? LanSync? MMPD? Reports? Cabinet Tools?

We need to target SI5 Pro, which will include Text, BizMgr, MMPD and LanSync. I think we can handle 11 x 17.

We are making sure the User Guide covers the FAQs from support. Should the QRG be
a) A FAQ
b) A D-Tools process guide
c) Tips and tricks

BTW the current User Guide is posted in the Beta section.

What are the top 5-10 topics you think the QRG should include?
