Default Loss of Connection Point Functionality for Grouped Shapes

Hello,
I am having a problem with Connection Points losing their functionality when they are part of a Grouped Shape.
Description: I create a shape with a Outward connection point - the shape properly 'snaps' to an Inward connection point on another shape. BUT, if I group the shape containing the Outward connection point with other shapes, the new Grouped Shape no longer has the proper 'snap' functionality. The connection point is still visible and still registers as an Outward connection point, but it no longer functions. (One little tidbit of information: the number of shapes in the new Grouped Shape directly coorelate to the functionality of the Outward connection point. I.e. if the Grouped Shape is comprised of 'n' number of shapes, it works, but if it is 'n+1' is does not.)
Any ideas?

Thank You, Gabriel
