Default System Descriptions

Im trying to setup Categories for systems such as home theater, security system, intercom, Whole house audio etc... so that when a report is done it will group them by this category on the report. Also the Rooms i would like to have appear under each category where the equipment is to be installed. Is this possible? Our sales people prefer to group in categories when submitting reports to there clients so they can explain it to them. Any help for the newbie would be greatly appreciate.

Default Use Zone List

Categories are classifications for Products.

You sound as though you are referring to Systems.

Systems are named in the Zones List, The Zones list in SETUP is not for Audio, Security, or HVAC Zones, it is for exactly what you are requesting.

This will allow your sales team to report by System.

Here is some stuff you can plagarize since I am feeling the christmas spirit tonight while my bride is making Christmas cookies in the kitchen and I am hallucinating from working with SI5 ALL DAY.

01 Electrical
The electrical system includes power distribution equipment to receptacles, lighting fixtures, appliances, and mechanical systems.

02 Lighting Control
The lighting control system includes centrally controlled dimmers, switches, power control modules, which enable control of multiple lighting loads, shades, and accessories in designated rooms using built-in keypads and other timed or environmental events

03 Climate Control
The climate control system includes connected thermostats which may be regulated by primary controls used with other systems.

04 Structured Wiring
The structured wiring system delivers Cable TV, Satellite TV, Telephone, and Ethernet signals from the incoming service point to designated ports within each room.

05 Telecommunications
The telecommunication system provides telephone and/or intercom communications to telephone handsets within each room using the structured wiring system.

06 LAN / WLAN
The LAN/WLAN system provides control over ethernet signals between computers and other network appliances using the structured wiring system and/or wireless connections.

07 Surveillance
The surveillance system delivers video from indoor and/or outdoor cameras to designated video diplays in each room using the structured wiring system.

08 Distributed Audio/Video
The distributed audio/video system provides audio from centrally located music sources as well as audio and video from centrally located video sources to speakers and video displays to designated rooms. Control of these sources may be performed through built-in or handheld remote control devices.

The multi-media system includes a video display and speaker system integrated with multiple video and/or audio sources and useful remote control.

10 Theater
The theater system includes a video display and speaker system integrated with multiple video and/or audio sources and useful remote control. Acoustic room treatments, seating, and theatrical lighting are also included within designated rooms.

11 Central Control System
The central control system enables users to operate multiple systems from a single video touchscreen. A central control system may have more than one touchpanel for overall convenience.

12 Displays
Displays include stand alone video displays not integrated with distribution and control systems.

Thank Jesus Christ for the blessings he gives you everyday and how he saves you from your own sinful nature.
