Any one use Rack Tools from Middle Atlantic, any version? I have some questions to ask, ie: custom shapes, errors, etc.

2.5a was the last one that D-Tools was involved with I believe. Couldn't help you with the 3.x POS that StarDraw hacked together. ...I'm sorry, am I being a bit opinionated?!

Anyway, what were you experiencing and with what version?

Also, I recommend you just use D-Tools for rack mock-ups as you can accurately do things like NOT use an RSH shelf for every piece. Although I do love that I can work up a quick drawing in Racktools without openning a project...

I completely agree with your opinion of v3.0, (what were they thinking?). I just opened up v2.5, updated it and seems to be okay. I was hoping to find some pre-made shapes for equipment for some manufacturers like Creston, Niles, Marantz, etc. I don't actually use DT's with Visio, I occasionally use Visio for simple things. What I do is use DT's Text, BizMan, QuickLinks, and then a separate TurboCAD program for my drawings. For simple rack drawings, I was hoping to use RackTools 2.5, but I need shapes, where can I get em'? TIA~!

In V5 we will have thousand of new one to one shapes for use in Visio and AutoCAD.
Maybe its time to think about jumping from TEXT to a full drawing enabled d-tools product.

I have Fully blown out verson of Professional, we just like our CAD software better than Visio. I was looking to use this as a SMALL thing.
