Default Should DTools Product Database take 10 minutes to load?

Hey all - I am new to D-tools and so far I am having a so so experience with it. My primary issue now is that it takes FOREVER to load. The program takes 5 minutes open when it is first started. Then when I open a project to add more products to it, it takes 5-10 minutes. Then when I open Product Explorer it takes a full 10 minutes. Is that normal? I am running Windows 7 32-bit pro on a Core i7 machine, so speed of the process isn't the issue. D-tools tech support suggested running in admin mode which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Dtools from my CD and gotten the same result. D-tools tech support suggested downloading the version from the website instead but then I couldn't open D-tools at all.

Is this program really this slow or is something amuck?

Thanks for your help!

Something is amok, that's not normal. I just launched the MMPD on my laptop and timed it and it took 5 seconds.

Are you running D-Tools client and server on the same machine?

Yes they are on the same machine. Tyler at D-tools tech support called me though and figured it out. He said he has seen this issue before when D-tools Client and Server are installed at the same time. He uninstalled D-tools and then installed each separately and it is working great now. I'm not sure they know why this happens, but they have a solution for it.
