Default How to manage multiple change orders

On my current job we have to submit 6 different change orders. They all have to float by the General, The consultant, the Architect and the Owner. Some won't be approved, some will change. I DON"T want the drawing to change until approval, and I need each one to appear in reference to the original bid number. They cant all effect the bottom line sequentially. It is safe to say that a variation of this scenario happens on every job we do, so I know I'm not alone on this. How do you guys do it?

OH I think I just found my answer: You promote the first revision before creating your next change order. This way I can make 6 change orders that each show how they will ding the original bid. Duh.

Hey Mat,

Maybe I misunderstand what you want to do but I don't think you need to promote the original everytime like that - you can just run the change order reports against the first revision.

ie. say you have 5 versions - go to accounting and to revision management tab, run a report checking rev 0 and rev 1. Then run another checking rev 0 and rev 2, etc etc.

Each report will be of changes of that version vs. rev 0 which I think gets you what you want..

hth.
