Example:

Thanks!

This is for residential work but most of my background is in commercial and I don't see why they would be different. In fact, often times multiple phases can overlap during the course of a project. Depending in the scope and schedule we often order Finish equipment just after or at the same time as Trim. Racks can be built in-house, equipment can be tested, and the majority of programming can be done in the shop.

Phases:

Rough-In
Trim
Finish
Programming
Engineering
Project Management

Zones will include the systems plus:

Engineering
Project Management

We can run By Zone By Location reports and see line items for things like PM time and engineering. So with that said, we don't utilize factors in the installation rate for these items. They are their own phases and have their own associated rates.
