Default Price of a Project changes after I move a location of a product

I have not seen this one before. I have a Salesmen who sold a Vacuum Package and entered it flawlessly into the text bid, he did modify the amount of inlets from 4 to 12 inside the package. Everything else was the same.

Here is the thing that gets me, and I would not have believed it if I had not been there to see it. When he realized he placed 2 inlets in the wrong locations, he made the changes to the inlets by moving them to their proper locations on the bid. The TOTAL PRICE of the Project CHANGED. He did not add or remove product. He simply moved 2 vac inlets to different locations and the price went down roughly 200 dollars on the project.

Any input on this would be of great help in figuring out how this happened would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Andy

Is this v5.1 or v5.2? I know there was a bug with Quicklinks and discounting / changing packages - and this blew up when you opened the project in Quicklinks. I believe it was fixed in 5.2.

5.2

And let me say that this project was not moved to Quicklinks in anyway. We were literally moving a vac inlet from one room to another in a text bid and doing a project summary after moving the vac inlet....And the price of the total project was different every time. Very odd....Very Very odd..

I have tried to repeat this instance on a few occcasions now and cannot repeat it. In my mind that does not solve the issue, as now the salesmen whom I was sitting with is afraid of the software and its overall reliability.

I know that it is Rock Solid, if its a bug its a bug, but I need some sort of an answer as to why it happened.

Nope - I've only seen this with Quicklinks and it was in v5.1 (thus why I asked above) - it WAS fixed in 5.2.

Andy,

I will try to replicate this and see what I find, this is the first I've heard of it, that's not to say it isn't happening of course. I'll let you know what I find.
