Default Change default wire type in schematic view?

How would I change the default wire stencil for my schematic page? It seems like the default stencil is finish wire. I would like it to be Finish w/ model.

I realize I can just drop the stencil from the tree and then pick which wire from product explorer but that goes against my habits. Usually I add everything I can think of from datamatrix and then drop it on the drawing.

My installers and I live off the schematic page and having the model numbers of the wire shown on the schematic would really help me keep things straight.

Easiest way to do this would be to right click on the docked stencil and select edit stencil.

If you the right click on the shape called 'finish wire' and select edit master properties, you can rename the shape to say "Finish Wire w/o Model"

Then rename the Finish Wire w/ model to say "Finish Wire"

The default shape is Finish Wire for the schematic page and D-Tools is looking for a shape with that name when you drop a wire onto the schematic page.

Check out our enhanced stencil suite at http://www.processdsg.com/products.php where we have made tons of major improvements using the existing shapes.

Great use of the schematic page by the way, it is far more pravtical to use the wire shpae woth model number to tell you technicians what cable to use rather than rely on color coding and other more complex variables!
