Default Labour cost different

Things get weirder...

I have a Labour Item "Installation" which in MMPD calculates a Variable Estimated Install Price of £67.56 based on the labour cost of the phase (Rough-In) and Labour Hours of 1 BUT

when added to a package and then added to a Project the Install price becomes £164.50 nice! but

Qty is always 1.

Even stranger...

The Base, Misc, Management and DSesign rates do not dynamically update if changed, for Programming Phase. Set up was chaged from £150 p/h to £65 p/h but all calculations in any project are based on the default £150 p/h

Not sure I understand the issue you are having in the package.

For the phase adjustments, once phases are adjusted in setup, they need to be updated in a project.

In a project go to D-Tools>Options and have a look at the phases.

Phase settings in a project are isolated from phase settings in setup.

There is a restore from defaults function where you can bring into the project the changes made in setup.

Are you making default changes to your database for phases, or just to a specific project?

Kevin

That was the issue. Did not realise SI5 did not automatically update the labour rates from set up and therefore they were "frozen" upon creation of a project.

Fantastic, cheers.

Excellent Fix.

Its great that D-Tools works that way.

Imagine the mess if you chose to raise your labour prices one month and had active projects that you've sold in your project folder.

The prices of all those projects would increase!

A common disconnect I see many users face is not realizing that the data in a project is isolated from the setup data and the database data.

You can force update back and forth in either direction, but this 'mechanic' enables users to make project specific changes that meet the needs of each project and not tamper with the database constantly.

I am having a very strange issue with SI-5 'first fix' labour calculations. For some reason D-Tools is automatically multiplying the labour rate by a factor of 30 (i thinkI). So i am getting an extremely overblown costing.

Being a relatively new user I don't know how to correct this. I have attached two screen shots which may explain my problem better.
