Default DTU vs. MIT

I work for a little company and I am the only one using D-tools right now. We haven't had any jobs come in that have required must in-depth work in D-tools so I have only used it to send out basic bids. I am wondering if DTU would be too much at once and make remembering how to do things difficult if I don't run into using that aspect for 6 months or should we do MIT that allows trainings throughout the year?

Default DTU vs. MIT

One of the really great things about DTU is the opportunity to meet and network with fellow d-tools users. There are two tracks, a "core" track which is really desinged for new and novice users - you wil learn the basics as well as learn some tips and tricks to help you really start to be productive and get a return on your software investment.

here are the course descriptions for the "Core" track: http://www.d-tools.com/site/training/DTU_CD.html

Many of our past DTU attendees have said that they were able to take things they learned and immediately apply them to their business, and the fact that we are co-locating with EHX should make the time a very worthy investment.

That said, MIT is also a fantastic training resource. The great thing about MIT is that you can take the training courses as many times as you want, from your own location. Remember that investing in any software platform requires putting time into it and really appying the processes in order to take advantage of the time-savings and efficiencies.

I think that both of these options will provide you with enough information to really start seeing some value from the software, with DTU also allowing you to make some new friends and connections within the D-Tools community.

Hope to see you there!

IMO, DTU isn't the place to learn Dtools brand new. You should come with a solid background in the software already in place. Skip DTU and sign up with MIT and slowly learn the ins and outs. Most importantly, setting up your database is the key to great results. Look up Kevin and what DSG can help you with as well.

Thank you, I was wondering which would be better learning and starting out and with which training I would be able to take the most from just starting and learning the software. I appreciate your responses.

I messed around with D-Tools for almost 2 years before attending DTU..It was praobably one of the best experiances..You get to meet the guys that really know how to use the software. Seth, Blake, Kevin, and Sam..They are a weath of knowledge and truly are there to help and share their tips and tricks.
I have heard that MIT is a great training tool with out he big expense. Which ever you choose..Both are great investments and will save you time and money...
