Default Visio not showing D-Tools title or allowing SI5 integration

I just installed SI5 and Visio, but the problem is that when I create a new "drawing1.vsd" that it does not show any of the data I have built in SI5.
I see in the tutorial videos that there is a menu called, "D-Tools" but I do not have this added to my Visio Pro 2007 (upgrade over standard)

Any ideas how I can get Visio to be in sync with SI5?

JAV,
Are you creating a new file from withing Visio or from the D-Tools Navigator?

It sounds like you're starting a new file from within Visio (Visio's File=> New), which won't work.

Go to D-Tools Navigator and create a new project and then (or if you've already done that) right click the project and "open w/ Visio"

HTH.

Problem, fixed.. I uninstalled SI5 Desktop and re-installed it. There was something wrong with the installation where i wasn't connecting to ViSIO correctly. This fixed the issue. Now I see the "D-tools" in the menu.

Thanks,

I think I'm having a similar problem. I just upgraded from text to pro. When I try to open a project (right click - open with visio) it creates a new visio file at the bottom of the page but that file doesn't connect to Dtools. It's just a plain old visio file. There is no dtools tab on the menu bar either.

Do I need to uninstall/reinstall dtools? If I do that will I lose my projects?

Jon,

It sounds like you may have to uninstall/reinstall. One thing I recommend is that you install Visio first. After you install Visio open it up before installing Si5 and go to Tools > Trust Center and give D-Tools full VBA access and enable all macros. Aftet that reboot your sytem, then proceed with the SI5 install.

As far as projects, they should all be there, but just in case backup your mastertable.mdb and projects folder which is normally located under START > My Documents > D-Tools SI5 Projects

The Master Table in XP can be found at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\D-Tools\SI5. Let us know if you need more help. Thanks!

I thought I figured it out, but haven't.
I have Si5.2x and Visio 2007 PRO, it doesn't show "D-Tools" at the top of Visio next to the File, Edit, Tools, etc. I've tried to un-install SI5, Visio Pro 2007 and re-install them, but it wont work. I have to install the 2007 standard Visio along with Si5 and then connect. I'm not able to use 2007 Pro with Sl5 softwae. Any ideas how to get Pro 2007 Visio to work with SI5?
